Built for overclocked systems and demanding workstations, the Dark Rock 4 Air Cooler from be quiet! features six 6mm copper heat pipes, a 135mm Silent Wings PWN fan with nine airflow-optimized blades and a speed of 1400 rpm, a six-pole motor, and a fluid-dynamic bearing. If you’d like to improve the Dark Rock 4’s cooling efficiency, an additional 120mm fan can be added, and clips are included to accommodate this. Living up to its name, this be quiet! product generates only 10.5, 15.6, and 21.4 dBA of noise under 50, 75, and 100% loads, yet offers a cooling capacity of 200W TDP. It has a lifespan of up to 300,000 hours and can be used with select Intel and AMD sockets.
General Features
Quiet Operation
The 135mm Silent Wings PWM fan features nine airflow-optimized fan blades, a six-pole motor for less vibration, and a durable fluid-dynamic bearing. The heat sink also features a decoupled fan mounting with vibration-isolating elements.
Extreme Cooling Power
The Dark Rock 4 provides an TDP rating of 200W and achieves low temperatures even during periods of peak CPU performance.
Advanced Design
The Dark Rock 4 is equipped with six advanced technology 6mm copper heat pipes that help to maximize heat conductance. Airflow-optimized and wave-contoured cooling fins with small dots on their surfaces help increase air circulation, and a special black coating with ceramic particles makes heat transfers possible.
Single-Tower Layout
The compact single-tower design achieves strong heat dissipation in small spaces. While one fan is pre-installed, it is also possible to add another 120mm fan for improved cooling.
User-Friendly
The mounting kit for the Dark Rock 4 is completely black, matching the black design of the cooler itself. You can conveniently install the cooler on the motherboard from above, and the brushed aluminum top cover with its diamond cut finish adds a touch of style.
