Based on the Intel Z690 chipset, you get access to an LGA 1700 socket which is compatible with a wide range of 12th Gen Intel processors. Four DDR4 slots can handle up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM, taking multitasking capabilities to the next level. Save your gaming library on an array of storage drives with six SATA III ports and four M.2 PCIe interfaces. Equip your system with an array of graphics and utility cards with one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots running on x4 power format. You also obtain RAID storage capabilities across three Gen 4 M.2 PCIe SSDs, allowing you to customize your storage parameters.

Thermal Enhancements

Sporting a unique thermal design, the GAMING X uses a fully covered thermal heatsink to prevent buildup over the MOSFETs along with a 5W/mk Thermal Pad. Two M.2 Thermal Guards prevent heat from damaging your storage device, and Smart Fan 6 uses internal temperature sensors and fan headers to ensure your components are nice and cool. The PCB is enhanced with 2x copper layer design which dissipates heat from the components due to its high thermal conductivity and lower impedance.

Connectivity

The integrated back panel of the GAMING X includes an array of ports, offering wide flexibility for your devices. Low-power devices such as mice and keyboards are supported via USB 2.0 Type-A ports, while USB 3.2 Gen 1 and Gen 2 Type-A ports offer data transfer rates up to 5 and 10 Gb/s, respectively. You also get a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port for data transfer speeds up to 20 Gb/s, suitable for power-hunger peripherals like audio and storage arrays. An internal front-panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connector allows you to quickly send data to your PC without reaching towards the back.
